TOKYO (Oct. 11, 2007) - Nissan Motor Co. today announced it has been selected for the first time to be listed on the Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI), comprised of companies with advanced strategies and information disclosure regarding climate change.
Nissan and DaimlerChrysler (the corporation’s name at the time the index was released) were the only two automakers on the list.
DaimlerChrysler Shareholders Approve Renaming as Daimler AG
The Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting of DaimlerChrysler AG (stock exchange abbreviation: DAI) has approved the renaming of the company as Daimler AG by a 98.76% majority.
The points added to the agenda at the request of the shareholders received only 2.94% of the votes at most and were therefore rejected.
Slightly above 5,000 shareholders attended the Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting, which was held at the Messe Berlin exhibition grounds. This figure amounted to 51.6% of the total number of DaimlerChrysler shareholders.

Addenda such as “BLUETEC” or “HYBRID” indicate the employed drive system technology.

Uwe Werner Succeeds Udo Richter in DaimlerChrysler Supervisory Board
Stuttgart, Sep 28, 2007 -- Uwe Werner (54), new Chairman of the Works Council of DaimlerChrysler’s Bremen Plant, effective as of October 1, 2007, will be court-appointed as employee representative to the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG on a motion of the Group’s Works Council.
Uwe Werner succeeds the current Chairman of the Works Council of the Bremen Plant, Udo Richter. Richter will enter into retirement effective as of September 30, 2007, when he will also step down from his employee representative assignment to the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG.

Sep 04, 2007, Stuttgart/Jalandhar – DaimlerChrysler AG is planning to enter a Co-operation with the Indian Company Sutlej Motors Ltd (SML) located in Jalandhar, Punjab. The two companies intend to build bus bodies on Mercedes-Benz chassis manufactured by DaimlerChrysler India Pvt. Ltd. (DCIL), which is a 100% subsidiary of DaimlerChrysler AG.The collaboration of DaimlerChrysler and SML encompasses the development, production, marketing, sales and after sales of luxury rear engine coaches. The Mercedes-Benz chassis will be manufactured by DCIL, the body will be built up by SML. DCIL then will handle Sales and After-Sales of the coaches. The first vehicles will roll off the line in the first quarter of 2008.

Second-quarter results for the Mercedes Car Group and the Truck Group as well as for the Van, Bus, Other segment had already been disclosed on . The present reporting structure now reflects the new structure of the DaimlerChrysler Group.Due to the disposal of the North American financial services business related to Chrysler, which took effect with the closing of the transaction on August 3, 2007, the figures for the Financial Services division are shown for the first time without Chrysler Financial (NAFTA); the prior-year figures have been adjusted accordingly.
