Deliveries of the GLK, which celebrated its world premiere at the Auto China show in Beijing at the end of April, are scheduled to commence in Western Europe in October, with market launch in the U.S. set to follow at the beginning of 2009.

MONTVALE, N.J. – While experiencing a marginal three percent decrease in its April sales (20,271 vs. 20,895), Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) maintained a 1.4 percent increase for the first four months of the year (77,918 vs. 76,880), bringing year-to-date sales to the highest level in the company’s history.

Daimler achieved EBIT of €8,710 million in 2007 (2006: €4,992 million), surpassing the earnings target of at least €8.5 billion that had previously been announced for the year 2007.

Stuttgart -- Feb 06, 2008 -- The Mercedes-Benz Cars division delivered 90,400 vehicles to customers all over the world in January 2008 (January 2007: 77,700). Sales of the Mercedes-Benz, AMG, Maybach, and smart brands thus rose by 16 percent to set a new record. The
Mercedes-Benz brand alone delivered a record-breaking 82,300 passenger cars in January, an increase of 12 percent on the figure for January 2007 (73,500 vehicles).
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class was particularly successful in January: in total, sales of the new sedan and station wagon doubled to 26,800 units compared to January 2007 (13,400 units).
