Dacia Warns on Fraud Attempts of People Claiming to Be Dacia Employees

June 25, 2008 -- Dacia warns on several individuals claiming sums of money to be spent on phone cards belonging to certain mobile telephony companies, in exchange for a Dacia Logan.

Such individuals make random phone calls and introduce themselves as Dacia employees. To win the confidence of the people, they give plausible information, such as name, first name, false addresses, false card series, etc.:

These so-called Dacia employees claim to call in connection to a competition held by Dacia. They give the phone winning notification of the Dacia Logan, to be delivered the next day, provided that the concerned person buys between $100 and $200 worth of phone cards. The abovementioned ask for the loading code.

March 21, 2008 -- During negotiations of the 2008 Collective Labour Contract, the Management Board of Dacia came with a serious offer as regards the increase in the salaries of the company’s employees, in line with the current economic and social state of affairs in Romania. The Logan range of vehicles also brought benefits to all the employees working for Dacia. The average salary at Dacia is superior to the average salary at national economy level, at industry and industrial branch level. The claims of the Dacia Union are not realistic.

March 4, 2008 -- Four years after the launch of Logan, the Dacia success story continues with Dacia Sandero, an affordable, spacious, robust, five-door hatchback.

Depending on market, Dacia's 2008 line-up features five vehicles: Logan, Logan MCV, Sandero, Logan Van and Logan Pick-up.

Dacia sales are enjoying consistent growth and increased by 17.2 per cent in 2007, notably in western Europe (up 67.9 per cent) thanks to the success of Dacia Logan MCV.

A Dacia Every Minute

February 5, 2008 -- As of mid-January 2008, the plant in Mioveni has been operating at a pace of 61.3 vehicles/ hour, a record production pace in the plant’s history. Every 52 seconds, a vehicle actually comes off Dacia’s assembly lines, reaching an overall production of 1,300 vehicles, with 690 Logan sedan, 560 Logan MCV and 50 Logan VAN.

To reach the current production capacity, Dacia has hired around 900 people only for the Assembly Plant.

In 2007, the plant in Mioveni manufactured 222,914 vehicles. The current step-up in production will allow Dacia to reach an overall production over 310, 000 vehicles.

Dacia Sold Over 230,000 Vehicles in 2007

January 4, 2008 -- In 2007, Dacia sold 230,473 vehicles, that is, 17.4% more than in 2006. In Romania, Dacia sold 102,062 vehicles, out of which 95,212 as personal vehicles and 6,850 as commercial vehicles.

Highlights:
• Total sales increased by 17.4% as compared to 2006
• Dacia exported over 128,000 units
• France and Germany, the first two export destinations
• More than 290,000 CKD kits were shipped to the Logan assembly plants in Russia, Morocco, Columbia, Iran, India and Brazil
