Two all-new technologies introduced: Side Collision Prevention and Back-up Collision Prevention

TOKYO, August 5, 2008 - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has unveiled an All-Around Collision Free prototype incorporating two all-new technologies – Side Collision Prevention (SCP) and Back-up Collision Prevention (BCP). Incorporating the available Distance Control Assist (DCA) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) systems, this latest prototype vehicle further extends Nissan’s “Safety Shield” concept to help protect the vehicle and its occupants from potential risks coming from multiple directions.

Meritor WABCO Introduces OnGuard Collision Safety System with Active Braking for North American Commercial Vehicles

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 1, 2008 – Meritor WABCO Vehicle Control Systems today introduced OnGuard™, a new technology designed to further improve commercial vehicle safety. This industry-first technology was introduced and demonstrated here for journalists and fleet customers on the eve of a key industry equipment and technology event.

OnGuard is currently installed on nearly 200 vehicles and is targeted for third quarter 2008 availability as a factory-installed option at several OEM brands.

Volvo Car Corporation Presents New Technologies to Avoid Collisions with Cars and Pedestrians

Jan 11, 2008 -- Recently, Volvo Cars has presented new smart solutions that will help to avoid collisions. They include a feature that brakes automatically if a pedestrian steps out in front of the car. Another, Collision Avoidance by Auto Steering, detects risk for a frontal collision caused by lane departure, and steers back automatically to avoid a frontal collision. The features are part of Volvo Cars' preventive safety development programme and they will be introduced onto the market within a few years.

Delphi Providing Active Safety Technologies for European Automaker on Several Models

January 7, 2008, LAS VEGAS -- Delphi Corp. (PINKSHEETS: DPHIQ) announced at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show that it is supplying an innovative active safety system for the several new models for a prominent European automaker. Delphi is providing adaptive cruise control and collision mitigation with automatic braking technologies for these vehicles. Delphi is showcasing the system at its exhibit #5206 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall.

"Delphi has reached another milestone in the evolution of providing safety systems with the introduction of the new collision detection system," said Beth Schwarting, executive in charge of Delphi's Safety product business unit.
