Four distinct new models planned for the the compact-car segment

Stuttgart -- Jun 18, 2008 -- Stuttgart – Mercedes-Benz will have an even stronger presence in the compact-car segment in the future, with a product line-up of four instead of today’s two vehicles. Investments of €600 Million in the Rastatt plant will secure the long-term capacity utilization of the plant.

In order to sustainably boost its competitiveness, as well as to access new markets and create additional production capacities, Mercedes-Benz has also decided to built a new plant in Kecskemét, Hungary.

Stuttgart – With more than 500,000 units produced within three and a half years, the A-Class is among the bestsellers in the Mercedes-Benz passenger car range. Now the latest generation of this compact car is showing itself to be more youthful, attractive and environmentally compatible than ever before.

The particular strengths of the tailored original accessory retrofit solution include perfect coordination with the new models, clear language output, and the high-definition TFT colour monitor in a new design.

Sep 13, 2007 -- Stuttgart -- Exactly ten years after the successful A-Class was first presented in 1997, Mercedes-Benz is celebrating the anniversary of this compact car with the exclusive "Edition 10" special model. With a customer cost advantage for the equipment of up to 30 percent, and in addition to the extensive standard appointments, this anniversary edition includes sporty 16-inch light-alloy wheels, a perforated radiator grille and a louvred panoramic sunroof.
