CHICAGO, 2008-05-15 – Tonight, one-of-a-kind fashions inspired by General Motors (GM) vehicles and created by students from the International Academy of Design and Technology (the Academy) will be on display and paraded down the runway at the Academy’s annual fashion show, Imagine 2008.
Chicago to Get More Than $1 Million from Ford Motor Company Fund
CHICAGO, Illinois, May 12, 2008 -- Ford Motor Company and the Ford Motor Company Fund announced today that they plan to invest more than $1 million in Chicago community programs and charities in 2008.
Highlights:
* Ford Motor Company Fund's "Operation Goodwill" to provide funding for Chicagoland charities and community programs totaling more than $1 million dollars in 2008.
* Includes Driving Skills for Life, a program adopted by the state of Illinois targeted at hundreds of teens; kicks off at U.S. Cellular Field.
* Program to feature joint efforts between Ford and its dealers on causes such as Chicago's Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Woodcliff Lake, NJ, March 18, 2008 -- Two years ago, MINI Takes the States (MTTS) rambled coast-to-coast with thousands of MINI owners for a legendary cross-country event. How to top that? For the highly anticipated encore coming this summer, members of the MINI community weighed in to set the direction for MINI Takes the States 2008.
Today, with the announcement of the dates and locations, MINI owners and car clubs as well as dealers nationwide are gearing up for MINI Takes the States 2008. MINIs and their owners will converge in Miami from June 13th-15th, Boston from June 20th-22nd, Chicago from July 25th-27th, and Los Angeles from August 1st -3rd. Event registration will open in April.
Ford Transit Connect Hits the Right Note with Legendary Blues Man Eddie Shaw and the Wolf Gang
CHICAGO, Feb. 6, 2008 – Ford’s Transit Connect is nimble enough to get legendary blues man Eddie Shaw, his band the Wolf Gang and all their gear to the hottest music clubs in cities around the world.
When the blues resurgence was in full swing in the ‘60s and ‘70s, Eddie Shaw was in the mix. Shaw, a tenor sax, was right in the midst of some of the seminal blues recordings going down in a few Windy City studios. He played gigs with Hound Dog Taylor, Freddie King, Otis Rush, Earl Hooker and Magic Sam.
Today, Shaw is on the road more than 200 days a year with the Wolf Gang in cities around the world, and they appreciate affordable vehicles that can also carry the band’s full kit.
Chevrolet, Macy's Team up to Announce "Chicago Women of the Year" Competition with Hall of Fame Defensive Tackle Dan Hampton
2008-01-22 -- WHAT: A press event will be held at Macy’s on State Street in Chicago to kick off the nomination process for a landmark “Chicago Women of the Year” program developed by Chevrolet. Chicago Bears Hall of Fame defensive tackle Dan Hampton will cast the first nomination during the event at Macy’s which will begin at 9AM on Thursday, January 24th.
