The Equinox seats five and is available in LS, LT and LTZ models with available all-wheel drive. When equipped with the standard Ecotec 2.4L direct-injected engine, the FWD Equinox achieves an EPA-estimated 32 mpg on the highway. That means a highway-only cruising range of up to 600 miles on a single tank of fuel. For 2012, this engine adds FlexFuel capability on vehicles with federal emissions, meaning it can operate on regular unleaded fuel, E85 ethanol or a combination of both.

A 3.0L V-6 engine is available on LT and LTZ models and delivers 25 mpg on the highway. This engine also is FlexFuel-capable on vehicles with federal emissions.

The new 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid hybrid SUV

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid delivers a dramatic improvement in fuel economy over non-hybrid models –33-percent in city driving – with the spaciousness and capability customers seek in a full-size SUV. It offers seating for up to eight and a towing capacity of up to 6,200 pounds (2,812 kg) on 2WD models.

The Tahoe Hybrid’s improved fuel economy over gasoline-only models is due largely to GM’s state-of-the-art two-mode hybrid system, which helps 2WD Tahoe Hybrid models deliver an estimated 20 mpg in the city. That’s comparable to the city fuel economy of many smaller cars.

Updates for 2012 include a new hard-drive navigation radio with a USB port, Time Shift Recording capability and more. StabiliTrak now incorporates trailer sway control and hill start assist. Two new exterior colors are offered, as well: Crystal Red Tintcoat and Silver Ice Metallic.

Also new for 2012 are seat-mounted side-impact air bags for the driver and right-front passenger.

The new 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV

Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV that offers spaciousness and a strong towing capability of up to 8,500 pound (3,855 kg). It also delivers surprising fuel economy, with 2WD models estimated at 21 mpg on the highway.

A fuel-saving Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed is standard on all models, which contributes to the Tahoe’s highway fuel economy via reduced engine speed. That lower engine speed also helps make the interior quieter.

For even greater fuel economy in a full-size SUV, customers can select the Tahoe Hybrid. It uses GM’s patented two-mode hybrid system to deliver a 33-percent improvement in fuel economy in city driving. Please see the separate Tahoe Hybrid release for complete details.

It opens to extend the cargo-carrying capability from the cargo bed’s 5-foot-3-inch-long (1.6 m) length to 8 feet 2 inches (2.5 m). It is available in LS, LT and LTZ models, with 2WD and 4WD.

Storage compartments alongside the cargo box provide ample and lockable storage. The storage compartments also have drains, so they can be filled with ice and used as coolers.

The new 2012 Chevrolet Volt extended range electric car

Chevrolet dealers in all 50 states have begin taking orders for the 2012 Chevrolet Volt electric car.

The suggested retail price for the award-winning Volt will start at $39,995 (or $32,495 assuming a full federal tax credit of $7,500, which is subject to the customer’s eligibility). The price includes an $850 destination freight charge but excludes tax, title and license fees. The starting price of the 2012 model is more than $1,000 below the 2011 base model.

The lower base price is possible in part because of a wider range of options and configurations that come with the expansion of Volt production for sale nationally. The 2011 model was available in just seven states and the District of Columbia.

With the 2013 Chevrolet Spark, Chevy is taking direct aim at competitors such as the Fiat 500, the smart fortwo, and the Scion iQ with a five-door hatch capable of seating four passangers and featuring a fuel-efficient 1.2L four-cylinder engine. Why it's not being offered as a plug-in electric, with a name like Spark, is anyone's guess.

2013 Chevrolet Spark photo2013 Chevrolet Spark photo

Be that as it may, the 2013 Chevrolet Spark is seen as the itsy-bitsy tiniest little wee Chevrolet ever produced, a highly efficient economical alternative to gas-guzzling SUVs that's a hell of a lot cheaper to fuel and easier to find parking for downtown.
