Ford Motor Company Donates Over $200,000 to Support Disabled American Veterans
DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 9, 2008 -- Ford Motor Company announced today that it will donate seven Ford Taurus X vehicles, valued at over $200,000, to support transportation needs of disabled veterans in seven select U.S. cities. Through Ford Motor Company Fund, the philanthropic arm of Ford, the company is continuing an annual tradition of donating vehicles to the organization; more than 130 have been given since 1996.
The announcement was made at the 87th annual Disabled American Veterans (DAV) National Convention in Las Vegas. The vehicles will be used by Veterans Hospitals to transport disabled veterans to and from medical appointments.

DETROIT, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Detroit Symphony Orchestra announced today that Honda has provided the institution a gift of over $1 million to create The Power of Dreams Music Education Fund to help support and expand the DSO's nationally acclaimed music programs for young people, and particularly an effort to encourage and support involvement of children in Detroit. Ford Philippines Grants Nearly P1 Million To Four Projects Through The 2007 Ford Conservation And Environmental Grants
Ford awards nearly P1M in grants to four environmental projects.
MANILA - As part of its annual Ecogrants program, Ford Philippines donated nearly a million pesos to four innovative and aspiring organizations dedicated to preserving the environment and culture, two of which are repeat grantees from last year's program.
The year 2007 is the 8th time Ford Philippines is hosting its local Ecogrants program. Since its inception, the Ford Ecogrants have supported 62 projects and gave over Php18-million in grants money.
