General Motors, California EPA Team up to Help Drivers Reduce Motor Oil Consumption

SACRAMENTO, Calif., 2008-06-10 -- General Motors, the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA) and the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) announced today that they are joining forces to encourage drivers to follow their vehicle manufacturer's recommendations on oil changes, which for millions of GM vehicles could be much longer than the decades-old standard of 3,000 miles between changes.

GM Announces California Public Policy Partners in Chevrolet's Project Driveway
DETROIT, 2008-05-29 - As a further demonstration of its commitment to fuel cell technology, General Motors handed the keys to four Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell vehicles to a group of key government partners who are participating in Chevrolet's Project Driveway - the largest-ever market test of fuel cell-electric vehicles.
More than 100 electric vehicles, powered by hydrogen fuel cells, are being placed in the hands of drivers in New York, California and Washington, DC. Selected drivers include general public, media, influencers, celebrities, business and public policy partners.
Almost 70 of these vehicles are now on the road in the U.S. and further deployments are planned in Europe and Asia later this year.
California to Give $1,000 Electric Car Rebates for ZAP Xebra Sedans and ZAP Xebra Trucks
SACRAMENTO, CA, May 29, 2008 -- The California Air Resources Board is offering a $1,000 rebate towards the purchase of a ZAP Xebra electric car and truck from ZAP (OTC BB:ZAAP.OB).
