General Motors Pledges Aid to Disaster Victims in China, Myanmar
DETROIT, 2008-05-20 - General Motors (GM) today announced that the General Motors Foundation and GM China have donated in excess of $1 million to support relief victims in China and Myanmar. GM China has made donations of over $850,000 for local efforts; the GM Foundation has donated $200,000 to the American Red Cross, China Disaster Response Fund and $50,000 to the United Nations World Food Programme to aid victims of the cyclone in Myanmar.
Additionally, GM China has pledged to match its employee contributions for local disaster response efforts and the GM Foundation will match other employee contributions made by May 27, 2008, to the American Red Cross, China Disaster Relief Fund and UN World Food Programme, up to a total of $100,000.
Nissan Pledges 10 Million Yen to Cyclone Nargis Relief
TOKYO, May 12, 2008 -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has pledged 10 million yen (USD 97,000) to Japan Platform, a non profit organization, to aid emergency relief efforts in Myanmar following the aftermath of Cyclone Nargis in early May.

Honda Motor Co. to Offer Donations to Aid the Disaster Victims of the Myanmar Cyclone
May 9, 2008 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced a contribution totaling approximately JPY 23.3 million to assist the Red Cross in providing shelter, relief and recovery support to those affected by the recent Myanmar Cyclone.
Of the JPY 23.3 million, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will contribute JPY 20 million through the Japanese Red Cross Society, while Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Honda’s Asian and Oceanic headquarters function (located in Bangkok), will contribute THB 1 million (approximately JPY 3.3 million) through the Thai Red Cross Society.
