December 11, 2007 STUTTGART – The Bosch Group intends to acquire Holger Christiansen A/S , Esbjerg (Denmark)- a remanufacturer of starters and alternators, as well as a dealer in automotive electrics spare parts – together with all its subsidiaries and the HC Parts and Cargo brands.
Bosch Awarded FIA World Prize
07.12.2007 -- The FIA Academy has awarded its annual World Prize for Road Safety, the Environment and Mobility to German technology group Bosch for its outstanding contribution to the promotion of road safety.
The award is given for exceptional merit or endeavour by individuals or organisations involved in motoring and mobility. The FIA Academy, which is made up of eight senior members of the FIA and its national automobile clubs, gave the award to Bosch primarily for its work in the Choose ESC! campaign.
The silver and crystal trophy was presented to Bosch Chairman Franz Fehrenbach in a VIP pre-awards ceremony at the FIA Gala in the Monaco Sporting Club, in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco.
Bosch Further Expands Activities In India
Bosch sales in India increase by nearly 20 percent in 2007, to roughly 815 million euros
Mumbai – Bosch continues to grow in India. Sales of the Bosch Group with customers in India will increase by nearly 20 percent in 2007, to roughly 815 million euros. Including exports, sales of the Bosch companies in India will come to nearly one billion euros. "India's dynamic growth is clearly reflected in our company's performance," said Dr. Bernd Bohr, member of the Bosch board of management and chairman of the Automotive Group, at a press conference in Mumbai.
Bosch Group Plans to Grow Further in Belgium after 100 Years of Presence in Brussels
Oct. 26, 2007, Brussels – On October 25, 2007, the Bosch Group will celebrate its centennial in Belgium. "Today, Bosch employs some 2,000 associates in Belgium, which makes it one of the 20 top private-sector employers in this country", said Franz Fehrenbach, chairman of the Bosch board of management, at an event in Brussels attended by guests from politics and business.
