BMW Statement on Voluntary Recall Involving Front Passenger Seat Sensor Mat on U.S. BMW Models
08/13/2008 -- Today, BMW announced a voluntary recall regarding the front passenger air bag seat sensor mat involving approximately 200,000 Model Year 2004-06 vehicles. Affected are certain Model Year 2006 3-Series, Model Year 2004-06 5-Series, and Model Year 2004-06 X3 vehicles, depending upon seat type.
BMW has found that the sensor mat may become damaged during vehicle usage depending upon the manner and frequency of the front passenger's entry and exit.

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., July 1, 2008 -- The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) today reported June vehicle sales of 26,155, a decline of 11 percent from the 29,394 vehicles sold in the same month of 2007. For the first six months of 2008, BMW Group sales are down 3.9 percent to 157,913 vehicles versus the 164,338 sold in the first half of 2007.

2008 BMW X3 Scores Huge Success in the J.D. Power Study on Customer Satisfaction in Germany

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., June 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) today reported May vehicle sales of 31,781, an increase of 3.1 percent from the 30,819 vehicles sold in the same month of 2007. For the first five months of 2008, BMW Group sales are down 2.4 percent, to 131,758 vehicles versus the 134,944 sold January through May of 2007.

BMW Donates RMB 1 Million to Earthquake Disaster Relief in Sichuan Province in China
Appeal for all BMW dealers and customers to join forces to combat the disaster
Munich/Beijing, 05/15/2008 -- The powerful earthquake which hit Sichuan Province with a magnitude of 7.8 caused severe damage in the area and BMW China and BMW Brilliance have responded with prompt action. BMW donated RMB 1,000,000 to the Red Cross Society of China for the eathquake disaster relief and assigned 3 units of BMW X3 for the rescue team to help disaster relief.
At the same time, BMW appealed to all BMW dealers and customers to provide their support as much as possible to join forces in times of hardship. BMW staff have also started to donate funds and the donations will be sent to the earthquake-hit area.

"We see the higher dividend for the financial year 2007 as being the first step", stated Norbert Reithofer, the Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG at the Annual General Meeting held on Thursday in Munich. Based on its Number ONE Strategy, the company's activities are being directed towards safeguarding the BMW Group's future and increasing its value. "We have taken the right steps to make BMW stock an even better and safer investment", continued Reithofer.

Deliveries rise by 12.5% in the month under review
Munich 05/07/2008 -- The BMW Group once again continued its upward sales trend for all three car brands in April. Overall, in a month-on-month comparison, the company recorded a 12.5% increase in the number of vehicles delivered to reach a total of 133,205 (prev.yr.: 118,378). For the year to April, 485,155 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles have been sold. This is an increase of 7.5% (prev.yr.: 451,311) compared with the same period in 2007.

For the first four months of 2008, BMW Group sales are still down 4.0 percent, to 99,977 vehicles versus the 104,125 sold January through April of 2007.
