TOKYO, Japan, June 26, 2008– Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced a summary of automobile production, Japan domestic sales, and export results for the month of May 2008.


Production in Japan experienced a year-on-year decrease for the ninth consecutive month (since September 2007).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the 34th consecutive month (since August 2005), setting an all-time record for the month of May. This includes record production for the month of May in Asia and China.

Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year decrease for the first time in two months (since March 2008).

TOKYO, June 26, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for May 2008.

1. Production

Nissan’s global production in May increased 5.1% year-on-year to 275,918 units.

Export models from Japan such as Nissan Rogue, Nissan Murano, Nissan X-Trail and March boosted domestic production to 100,299 units, exceeding the previous year by 40.3%.

Production outside of Japan dropped 8.1% year-on-year to 175,619 units.

In the U.S., production fell 26.1% to 43,317 units compared to the year prior.

In Mexico, production decreased 4.7% year-on-year to 41,784 units.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Announces Production, Sales and Export Figures for May 2008

Tokyo, June 26, 2008 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today announced global production, as well as domestic sales and export figures for May 2008.

Total global production came in at 98,959 units, a decline of 8.7 percent over May last year and marking the third consecutive monthly decrease. Production volume in Japan at 62,039 units was up 7.8 percent, the 20th consecutive month of year-on-year growth and marking a new record for May since Mitsubishi Motors spun off its truck and bus operations in 2003.

Honda’s Cumulative Auto Production in Brazil Reaches 500,000 Units

SÃO PAULO, Brazil, June 19, 2008 – Honda’s automobile production and sales subsidiary in Brazil, Honda Automoveis do Brasil Ltda. (HAB), reached the 500,000-unit cumulative automobile production milestone, June 18, 2008.

HAB began auto production with the Civic model in September 1997, and added production of Fit in 2003. HAB has been supplying these models to customers in Brazil as well as customers in neighboring countries such as Argentina, Peru, and Chile. In 2006, to fulfill increasing demand for FFVs (flexible fuel vehicles) in Brazil, HAB added a FFV version of both Civic and Fit to the product lineup. The sales ratio of these FFV models to Honda’s overall sales in Brazil exceeded 40% in 2007, demonstrating the popularity of these FFV models.

Nissan’s global production in April increased 23.9% year-on-year to 296,760 units, marking an all-time record for the month of April.

Export models Rogue, Murano and Infiniti G sedan and coupe boosted domestic production to 98,873 units, exceeding the previous year by 42.3%.

Overseas production grew 16.3% year-on-year to 197,887 units, making a record production month for plants worldwide.

In the U.S., production rose 0.8% year-on-year to 54,497 units.

In Mexico, production increased 11.4% to 40,565 units compared to the year prior.

Production in the U.K. grew 38.0% year-on-year to 37,703 units.

TOKYO (April 23, 2008) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for March and the 12 months ended March 31, 2008.

Nissan’s global production in March increased 1.2% year-on-year to 312,449 units.

Export models from Japan such as Rogue, X-Trail, Dualis and Tiida boosted domestic production to 139,420 units, exceeding the previous year by 27.2%.

Overseas production dropped 13.1% year-on-year to 173,029 units.

In the U.S., production fell 26.9% year-on-year to 47,776 units.

In Mexico, production decreased 40.9% year-on-year to 23,223 units.

TOKYO, February 26, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for January 2008.

1.Production
Nissan’s global production grew 13.8% year-on-year to 316,172 units, making an all-time record for the month of January.

In Japan, the new Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Tiida, new export model Nissan Rogue (launched in September in North America) and new Infiniti EX (launched in December in North America) contributed to increased production. Total domestic production grew 26.1% to 115,748 units, compared to the year prior.

Overseas production rose 7.8% year-on-year to 200,424 units, making a record production month for plants worldwide.

In the US, the Altima coupe contributed to a year-on-year production increase of 5.7% to 63,981 units.

Feb 25, 2008 -- Magnus Hellsten, Senior Vice President Manufacturing, became Production Manager of the Year in Sweden at the 600Minutes Production conference. Mr Hellsten received the award for his work in transforming Volvo Cars' manufacturing system - Best in Class - into Europe's most efficient in its class.

Best in Class (BiC) aims to make the Volvo Car Corporation one of Europe's three best and most cost-efficient manufacturers and suppliers in the premium segment.
