BMW Museum Opened in Official Ceremony
Munich, 06/19/2008 -- On 19 June 2008, Chairman of the Board of Management of the BMW Group, Dr. Norbert Reithofer, opened the BMW Museum in an official opening ceremony. He highlighted the importance of tradition for the company: "Awareness of our heritage, the experiences and developments that our company has been through give us direction, power and inspiration for our work".

Stuttgart, 6/20/2008 -- Beaming faces in Zuffenhausen: today four children, aged five and six, each collected their own ‘Model 911’ pedal car from the museum of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. They were the lucky winners of a raffle which had taken place at the “Bietigheim Wonderland”, an event held in Bietigheim on May 30 and 31, 2008.

Ford Model T Stars in the Design Museum Tank in London
BRENTWOOD, ESSEX, April 7, 2008 – The car that changed the world has been installed in the famous glass 'tank' outside front of the Design Museum in London, within sight of Tower Bridge.
This display of the Ford Model T by the Design Museum recognises the significance of the vehicle as the first car to be assembled on a moving production line, helping to turn America into an industrial economy and mobile society.
This 1910 example of the Ford Model T has been provided by the Ford Heritage Collection, which is based further down the River Thames from the Design Museum at the Ford Dagenham plant. The car will be on display until April 20.

Porsche Museum Completion Before the End of the Year
Open architecture and exhibition concept create great freedom for visitors
Stuttgart, 4/2/2008 -- The end is in sight for work on the building site for the new museum for Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart. At present, over 40 different companies with up to 250 tradesmen and specialists are at work at the Porscheplatz. “Work is going well according to plan. Wind and weather allowing, the museum should be completed by the end of the year,” says Anton Hunger, Publicity and Press Manager for Porsche AG with responsibility for the new museum.

Young, Innovative Art at the BMW Welt
10/17/2007, Munich -- Within the BMW Welt, designed by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU and opened on 20th October, the interior of the building has also become a remarkably impressive sight. For two classes of the Munich Academy of Fine Arts it also constitutes an artistic platform for the creative presentation of visionary and filigree architecture. The 18 young artists from Prof. Norbert Prangenberg's class for ceramic and glass and the photography class conducted by Prof. Dieter Rehm looked into the synergy of the outer structure and the interior of BMW Welt. They had already witnessed the development of the imposing building during the construction stage and, based on their impressions, decorated the transparent rooms with innovative exhibits.

10/17/2007, Munich -- On Saturday, 20th October 2007, BMW invites the public to the BMW Museum exhibition at the Olympic Tower from 19.00 to 2.00 hrs as part of the "Long Night of the Munich Museums". This year BMW Mobile Tradition looks back over the successful 90-year history of the brand. The special exhibition "The BMW brand. A story of success" has some outstanding objects from these nine decades lined up for visitors. Among them are rare exhibits such as the first BMW motorcycle engine from the 1920s, the BMW Turbo design study of 1972 and the BMW Z1 Art Car by A.R. Penck.

Thank you for coming here today for the opening of our BMW Welt. Most of all, I am delighted that you, dear Prime Minister, have found the time. This is one of your first appearances in the new position. So we feel particularly honored that you have joined us today.
Today is an important day for the BMW Group. For this building, our new BMW Welt, is of particular importance to our company.
