Commissioning of Porsche’s New Spare Parts Warehouse in Sachsenheim

First part of building completed

Stuttgart, 4/15/2008 -- Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is currently commissioning the first stage of the new spare parts center in the industrial park of Eichwald, Sachsenheim. The warehouse, which has an area of 40,000 square meters, took less than one year to build and cost 28 million Euros.

The new spare parts warehouse is characterized by the transparent structure of the building, which creates a pleasant working environment with plenty of light in the storage area. The building materials used meet the latest environmental standards. A large proportion of the building’s energy and space heating requirement is covered by an environmentally friendly combined heat and power (CHP) plant.
