The new 2013 Audi S6 4.0 TFSI high performance luxury sedan

The S6 is equipped with the new twin-turbo 4.0 TFSI® engine that delivers 420 horsepower and an impressive 406 lb-ft of torque from 1,400 to 5,300 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and has an electronically governed top speed of 155 mph.

The latest Audi model to move into the vanguard of Vorsprung durch Technik is the A6 Saloon, which has been redesigned from the ground up with the benefit of the brand's most advanced lightweight construction techniques, engine efficiency measures, chassis developments and in-car technological innovations.

With weight kept in check through aluminium and steel composite construction, despite enhanced equipment levels, the new A6 will not only deliver dynamically, but also in terms of efficiency, with 57mpg-plus economy potential and low CO2 outputs of as little as 129g/km.

UK A6 orders will be possible from January 2011, and first deliveries will begin in the spring.

Jan 30, 2008 -- Audi has repeated last year’s success in the reader poll of one of Germany’s leading automotive magazines. The readers of auto, motor und sport (ams) magazine placed Audi models in first place in four classes.

“The reader poll is an important indicator for us. And Audi’s success with ams readers shows us that we’ve got the right products,” said Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, upon being presented with the commendation. “At the same time, the great results are an incentive for the entire team.”

With four prizes, Audi is once again the most successful brand in the poll. The success of the new Audi R8 sports car, which banished its established competitors from the top ranking, is particularly notable.

Jan 8, 2008 -- Audi achieved a new sales record in China in 2007, selling 101,996 cars in China (including Hong Kong) – a gain of about 25 percent compared to the previous year.

Sales of locally produced cars grew by 21 percent to a total of 93,168 units, including 73,404 Audi A6 models (up 19 percent) and 19,764 Audi A4 models (up 27 percent). An above-average gain of 115 percent to 7,720 units was achieved for imported vehicles. With 3,401 units, sales of the Audi A8 were up 22 percent, and deliveries of the Audi Q7 rose by 349 percent to 3,631 vehicles. Hong Kong also recorded growth of more than 23 percent (1,108 cars sold).

Nov 12, 2007 -- Audi and Apple have been working closely together to ensure that the eagerly awaited iPhone, available from today (November 9), is fully compatible with, and functional in, the majority of Audi models equipped with optional GSM phone preparation incorporating a bluetooth interface.

Alongside the standard hands-free functions (accept/reject call/hands-free), the mobile phone preparation supports the display of the signal strength and the provider’s name, and enables transfer of the user’s number directory to the car’s infotainment system.
