Jun 25, 2008 -- A newly developed Turbo FSI petrol engine available from this week for the 2008 Audi A5 provides the sought after Coupé with yet another choice blend of pace and pence-per-mile efficiency. The new 211PS A5 2.0T FSI can be ordered in either front-wheel drive or quattro permanent four-wheel drive forms for £28,760 OTR or £30,285 OTR, and will reach its first UK customers in August.

Audi R8 TDI Le Mans Concept to be Showcased at Event

NEW YORK, March 19, 2008 – Audi of America Inc. today announced it will unveil a custom-painted A5 created by New York City-based artist Hunt Slonem, at the company’s kick off event for the 2008 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) at the Audi Forum New York City. The A5 is Audi’s all new sports coupe. In addition to the special Audi A5 unveiling, Audi will showcase the highly anticipated Audi R8 TDI Le Mans concept.

Jan 17, 2008 -- Audi has taken first place in the AutoMarxX image and brand study by Germany’s ADAC automobile club. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management at Audi, accepted the coveted “Yellow Angel” prize today in Munich.

Nov 12, 2007 -- Audi and Apple have been working closely together to ensure that the eagerly awaited iPhone, available from today (November 9), is fully compatible with, and functional in, the majority of Audi models equipped with optional GSM phone preparation incorporating a bluetooth interface.

Alongside the standard hands-free functions (accept/reject call/hands-free), the mobile phone preparation supports the display of the signal strength and the provider’s name, and enables transfer of the user’s number directory to the car’s infotainment system.

Oct 12, 2007 -- The first four-cylinder engine to power the all-new Audi A5 coupé joins the UK range this week, and fittingly it too is also a completely new design. The advanced, directly injected successor to the familiar 1.8-litre Turbo petrol unit that has powered A3, A4, A6 and TT models in the past creates the A5 1.8 TFSI, which is available to order now for an OTR price of £26,190. First UK deliveries are expected in late November.
