Aston Martin DBS to Star in New James Bond Film

Gaydon, December 10th 2007 -- Aston Martin announced today that their new flagship model, the DBS, will once again be driven by James Bond (DANIEL CRAIG) in the next 007 film to be produced by Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for EON Productions, and directed by Marc Forster.

The Aston Martin DBS made its first public appearance in Casino Royale when it smashed its way into the Guinness World Record books for ‘The Most Cannon Rolls In A Car’. The record-breaking stunt saw stuntman Adam Kirley taking the helm of Bond’s famous Aston Martin. The stunt proved one of the most spectacular in movie history when he rolled the DBS an amazing seven times.

Record Aston Martin Goes Under Charity Hammer

Gaydon, November 28, 2007 -- The Aston Martin V8 Vantage which earlier this year became the first car to cross the Asian Highway will go under the hammer for charity at the Bonhams Important Collectors' Motor Cars, Pioneer and Vintage Motorcycles and Fine Automobilia auction on December 3 at Olympia in London.

The V8 Vantage which had previously completed 100,000 miles of durability testing was driven from Tokyo to London in a 10,000 mile feat of endurance taking 49 days and crossing through 18 countries.

Jefferies Advises on Acquisition of Aston Martin from Ford Motor Company

NEW YORK and GAYDON, England, March 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Jefferies investment bank today announced that it served as exclusive financial advisor for the 479 million pounds Sterling ($925 million) acquisition of Aston Martin from Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) by a consortium of investors led by automotive industry veteran David Richards. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Jefferies & Company, Inc. is the principal operating subsidiary of Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE:JEF) .

Mr. Richards is Chairman of Aston Martin Racing and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Prodrive, a global motorsport and automotive engineering company based in Banbury, U.K.

February 15, 2007 -- Just 40 examples of a new Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate Edition will be handcrafted at the company’s Newport Pagnell production facility in Buckinghamshire. The model represents a luxurious and unique limited edition befitting the Vanquish S status as the ultimate Aston Martin and also celebrates the skilled craftsmanship of the team working at Newport Pagnell.

The Ultimate Edition will be available by special request to customers wishing to celebrate the last of a significant car in Aston Martin’s history. Initial feedback suggests the whole allocation of this special edition will be sold within weeks of launch. The Ultimate Edition centres on changes to the Vanquish S renowned colour and trim. On the exterior, these changes include a unique ‘Ultimate Black’ – a striking new colour which will only be available with this car. Inside, the Vanquish S cabin is trimmed in a semi-aniline leather, with coarse stitching, leather headlining and black chrome finish interior fittings. Each car will also be fitted with personalised sill plaques denoting the limited edition number.

January 10, 2007 -- Aston Martin has confirmed details of its N24 race car, based on the critically acclaimed Aston Martin V8 Vantage road car, which will be showcased at the Autosport International Show this week.

The Aston Martin Vantage N24 is based on a standard European specification production V8 Vantage, with modifications undertaken to prepare the car for the competitive racing environment.

December 20, 2006 -- Visitors to the 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit will discover a new edge to Aston Martin's ongoing reinvention. The company will be creating an art installation, a collaboration between world renowned automotive photographer René Staud and the eagerly awaited Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster.

Staud's dramatic imagery of two Vantage Roadsters, one Silver Ice and one Fire Red, set in amongst the stunning Icelandic landscape, forms a 100 square metre photographic backdrop for the stand. The two cars used in the shoot are staged in front of this image, placed on a field of black volcanic sand. The Fire and Ice theme forms the core of all Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster communications, including the dramatic and evocative imagery used in the official brochure and press material.
