TROY, Mich., June 18, 2008 — ArvinMeritor, Inc. (NYSE: ARM) announced today that it received the 2008 Corporate ‘Closing the Gap’ Award from New Detroit, a coalition of local community, business and labor leaders.

ArvinMeritor was honored for its economic and philanthropic support of the Southwestern/Fort Street community; specifically, Detroit’s Southwestern High School. The company has contributed to the construction of new facilities at the high school such as a new football field and all-weather track, as well as a renovation of the performing arts theater; created cooperative education programs; and funded scholarship and internship programs with Kettering University for Southwestern High School students.

ArvinMeritor Announces New Facility's Start of Production in Salonta, Romania

SALONTA, Romania (Jan. 31, 2008) — ArvinMeritor, Inc. (NYSE: ARM) announced today the start of production at a new Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) facility in Salonta, Romania.

This new plant, which occupies approximately 5,400 square metres of manufacturing space, will supply window regulators, cables, latches and actuators directly to Dacia, the largest vehicle manufacturer in Romania and part of the Renault Nissan group.

First-Quarter Highlights

* Sales from continuing operations of $1.7 billion, up $95 million from the same period last year.
* On a GAAP basis, net loss from continuing operations of $1 million or $0.01 per diluted share, compared to net income from continuing operations of $10 million or $0.14 per diluted share in the same period last year.
* Net income from continuing operations, before special items, of $6 million, or $0.08 per diluted share, compared to $12 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, in the same period last year.

The company also announced today that its annual shareowners’ meeting will be held on Jan. 25, 2008, at 9 a.m. EST, at its Troy, Mich. headquarters. Shareowners of record at the close of business on Nov. 23, 3007, will be entitled to notice of, and to vote, at the annual meeting.

Arden Closure is Part of Previously Announced Restructuring Initiative

TROY, Mich. (Nov. 7, 2007) — ArvinMeritor, Inc. (NYSE: ARM) today announced it would close its Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) axle operation in Arden, N.C. by September 2008.

The closure is part of previously announced restructuring actions in North America and Europe which the company expects to affect 13 plants and 2,800 employees, resulting in an estimated annual run rate savings of $130-$140 million by 2012.

Operations based in Arden will be transferred to the company’s facility in Forest City, N.C. and to a newly announced plant in Monterrey, Mexico. The company intends to begin transferring work in February 2008.

This new facility – which will include approximately 400,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space – will provide additional capacity for the company’s axle and brake assembly operations and component manufacturing.
