Just over one year has gone by since the announcement and, as planned in the brand relaunch plan, Abarth & C. S.p.A. has kept its promise to resume and bring up to date all the activities that have made its name go down in history. To emphasise the authenticity of the project, brand activities have immediately focused on resuming and bringing up to date all the activities carried out in the past by Abarth & C., beginning with direct participation in Italian and international races, the organisation of single-brand trophies and the preparation of the cars for customers - moving through road cars and conversion kits to accessories and garments reflecting Abarth style.

Fiat Automobiles Sets European Record for Reducing CO2 Emissions
Turin 18.04.08 -- Among the ten biggest-selling automotive manufacturers in Europe, Fiat Automobiles is the brand that recorded the lowest average CO2 emission value for Fiat vehicles sold in 2007: 137.3 g/km. This record was awarded by the company JATO, world leader for consultancy and research in the automotive field, set up in 1984 and present in more than 40 countries.
The JATO analysis placed the Fiat brand ahead of Peugeot (141.9 g/km), Citroen (142.2 g/km), Renault (146.4 g/km), Toyota (141.9 g/km), Ford (149.1 g/km), Opel/Vauxhall (152.9 g/km), Volkswagen (161.7 g/km), BMW (176.7g/km) and Mercedes (188.4 g/km).

Fiat Group Automobiles Presents Blue&Me at the CES of Las Vegas
January 7th, 2008 -- Fiat Group Automobiles will be at the 31st edition of CES (Consumer Electronics Show), Las Vegas, the most important of its kind in the world, from January 7th to 10th. The exhibition, dating back from 1967 and reserved to specialist manufacturers and traders, will draw some 2,700 exhibitors over an area of 1.8 million square meters, with more than 140.000 professional visitors expected.
Microsoft, since 2004 partnering with Fiat in the development of innovative telematics platforms for automotive applications, will exhibit a Fiat 500 – its first appearance at an event in the USA – and an Alfa Romeo Spider.
Abarth at the 32nd Italian Motor Show in Bologna
28/11/2007 -- For the first time at the Bologna Motor Show, the reborn Fiat Abarth marque makes a comeback with its own dedicated stand of powerful visual impact which, in line with its relaunch philosophy, was designed to highlight innovation using a fresh, up-to-date language, with leading-edge technology and refinement in the smallest details.
The galvanized steel floor and the ‘naked’ technology of the monitors provide an effective contrast to the luxurious shiny white environment, the mirrorlike effect of the large illuminated sign and the special chromed guardrails, evocative technical details delimiting the area of the boutique and the boundary of the stand.

US Automakers Endorse Knollenberg Legislation to Ensure U.S. Industry Voice in Trade Cases
Under current U.S. law, industrial users do not have standing in antidumping and countervailing duty cases even though a decision to place tariffs on raw materials and other production inputs can deeply affect their global competitiveness. H.R. 1127, the "American Manufacturing Competitiveness Act", would give industrial users such as auto manufacturers legal standing in trade remedy cases involving those products.

Toyota Prius Wins Recognition from Leading Automotive Consumer Publications
07/18/2007 -- Toyota Prius has recently been recognized as the hybrid leader by several automotive authorities.IntelliChoice.com, an online source for analysis of automotive cost and value, included Prius in its "Best Overall Value of the Year" awards for model year 2007. "The Toyota Prius, one of four hybrids on the list, is the Best Car Value Under $23,000 for the second consecutive year," IntelliChoice said.
Consumer Reports measures customer satisfaction by asking, "Considering all factors (price, performance, reliability, comfort, enjoyment, etc.), would you get this car if you had to do it all over again?" Based on the percentage of people who answer "definitely yes" to this question, vehicles are placed on the Most Satisfying list. ConsumerReports.org said: "The Toyota Prius ranks as the most satisfying vehicle overall for the fourth straight year, with 92 percent of owners saying they'd get another one."
Kelley Blue Book, a standard source for used vehicle pricing, named Prius the "2007 Best Resale Value" in the hybrid category. The publication also named Toyota Prius in its Top 10 list, reflecting the highest ranking of projected resale value after five years of ownership.
