2007-09-28, DALLAS – Chevrolet is taking the State Fair of Texas to new heights with an array of fun-filled activities for the whole family when the longest-running State Fair in the country gets underway September 28 through October 21.

Along with the State’s largest auto show in the Southwest, Chevy will host an interactive display of 2008 model cars and trucks, a Fishing Boat Simulator to enjoy, an exhibit on Gas-friendly to Gas-free options, a showcase by Team Chevy Racing, a ride-and-drive area where consumers can put the pedal to the metal in a Chevy vehicle, and a line-up of great live music.

2007-09-27, DALLAS – Boasting a 50 percent improvement in city fuel economy, General Motors will showcase its new 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid and 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid – the only hybrid full-size SUVs – at the 2007 State Fair of Texas, Sept. 28 – Oct. 21. During the fair, the public can get a sneak peak of these Texas-built hybrid SUVs before they arrive in dealer showrooms.

The Tahoe and Yukon Hybrids, to be built locally at the GM Arlington Assembly Plant, will deliver a 30 percent gain in overall fuel economy and, during certain driving conditions, will run on pure electricity.
