Chrysler Town & Country up 24 percent in July; drives total minivan sales 5 percent higher; considered fuel-efficient alternative

Auburn Hills, Mich., Aug 1, 2008 - Chrysler LLC today reported total July 2008 U.S. sales of 98,109 units, which is 29 percent below the same period last year. Total July sales reflect a continued contraction of the market of pickup trucks and SUV sales and reductions in fleet sales.

Chrysler and Dodge minivans earn Institute’s top rating, “Good” rating in front and side crash protection

Auburn Hills, Mich., May, 2008 - The all-new 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan earned “good” ratings, the highest ratings available from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), in both frontal offset and side crashworthiness tests.

For the first time in the award’s history, the all-new 2008 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan captured all of the votes for best minivans as awarded by the 2008 International Car of the Year Awards (ICOTY) jurors, leaving no room for third-place contenders.

The 2008 Chrysler Town & Country earned first-place in two categories, International Truck of the Year and The Most Compatible Minivan of the Year. The 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan earned second place in The Most Compatible Minivan of the Year category as well.
