11/19/2007 -- Skoda Auto reports altogether 53,838 vehicles sold in October. Compared to the same period of 2006, the sales volume has gone up by 15.3 %. Moreover, consumer interest in Skoda vehicles is still rising. The Company has already sold 516,267 vehicles since the beginning of the year (+12.9% as compared to the same period of last year).

With 22,312 vehicles delivered to customers, the best-selling model in the worldwide context is the Skoda Octavia (limousine, estate (“Combi”) and the Scout).

The second best-selling model is the Skoda Fabia. Of the total of 18,150 vehicles sold, two thirds (11,943) account for the new-generation version of this model.

The strongest market in October was Western Europe (25,569 vehicles, 7% up as compared to the same month of 2006).

Skoda Auto also did well in eastern markets. In China, the Company sold 4,111 locally produced Octavias in October, although it had started selling Skoda vehicles in this country as late as this year in June.

The Czech Republic's total sales in October 2007 amounted to 6,135 vehicles. The best-selling model was the Skoda Fabia; again, the new-generation version has contributed significantly to this achievement (1,896 vehicles of the total of 2,796 Fabias sold throughout the Czech Republic).
