Coach Operator Fischwenger Takes Delivery Of The 500th Setra S 411 HD

Landmark coach to be used in Austria; S 411 HD club coach rounds off lower end of TopClass 400 range

Salzburg/Ulm -- Nov 21, 2007 -- Salzburg/Ulm. Setra Coaches, the premium coach brand of Daimler AG, has delivered its 500th S 411 HD coach. The customer, the "Fischwenger" coach company based in Straßwalchen near Salzburg, took delivery of this comfortable TopClass 400-series coach on November 2 in a special handover ceremony which was held in Salzburg on the occasion of the Setra Show 2007. The vehicle in question is a four-star coach whose equipment includes a galley, a video system and advanced navigation technology.

Premium-class club coach

The Setra S 411 HD is the premium-class club coach and rounds off the lower end of the current generation of Setra coaches. At 10.10 metres in length, it is ideal for larger groups or small clubs. The compact dimensions which make it an interesting solution for the growing travel market for smaller tour groups also mean that it lends itself for use in narrow streets in historic city centres or on narrow mountain passes.

Safety and comfort were decisive purchase criteria

The Fischwenger coach company was established in 1972 by Johann and Maria Fischwenger. Thanks to a consistent policy of expansion which has seen the takeover of a total of three other companies, Fischwenger now has a fleet com­prising 23 coaches and 14 minibuses. The luxurious Setra coaches are used for day trips and trips lasting several days as well as for trips associated with sports and music events. The comprehensive safety package, the numerous technical highlights and the high level of comfort offered by Setra were important criteria which prompted the company – which is today run by its founder, Johann Fischwenger, and his two sons, Andreas and Hannes – to opt for a vehicle from the Ulm-based premium brand.
