Günther Scherelis Appointed New Head of SEAT Corporate Communications

Martorell, 12-02-2008 -- Mr. Scherelis, 51 years old and native of Wolfsburg, Germany, has assumed the leadership of Corporate Communications at SEAT S.A., in Martorell, Spain.

Mr. Scherelis had been head of Communications at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, Germany, since February 2005. Prior to this, Mr. Scherelis lead the Newsroom department at the Volkswagen Group’s Communications department in Wolfsburg, Germany, where he was in charge of media analysis and the development of the Groups’ issues management since 2002.

From 1997 until July 2002, Mr. Scherelis served as economic spokesman, covering economic issues of the Group. In 1992, Mr. Scherelis had initiated his professional career in the Volkswagen Group’s Communications department as spokesman for ecological affairs.
