NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) – A U.S.-based association that was founded in 1917 by a group of car dealers determined to lower the luxury tax on automobiles. Today NADA provides automotive information and advocacy to consumers via their NADA Guides which provide information about vehicle pricing for new, used, and classic automobiles in addition to motorcycles, boats, recreational vehicles, and manufactured homes. NADA also serves to assist car dealers in two ways by following vehicle pricing trends on new and used vehicles as well as providing an advocacy association to represent car dealerships before the U.S. Congress and other federal government agencies.
