GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating)

GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) – A rating system for non-passenger automobiles (pickup trucks, for example), which is the determined maximum allowable total weight of a road vehicle when fully loaded. In the absence of a weight specified by the manufacturer, GCWR (Gross combination weight rating) shall be determined by adding the GVWR of the power unit and the total unladen weight of the towed units and any load thereon.
