Gearbox

Gearbox – Generally defined as a drivetrain Device made up of the input shaft, gears and output shaft.

More specifically defined regarding the type if transmission:
1) In a manual transmission it consists of the clutch assembly along with gearbox.
2) In an automatic transmission (A/T) the torque converter is also part of the gearbox.
