Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) - A European car safety performance assessment program that was founded in 1997. Euro NCAP publishes safety reports on new cars, and awards 'star ratings' based on the performance of various vehicles in a variety of crash tests that include front, side and pole impacts, as well as impacts with pedestrians.
