Drive Shaft (Also: Driveshaft) - Mechanical drivetrain coupling between the transmission and differential that transmits power from the transmission to the differential in the rear-drive powertrain and may further allow an angular displacement of the driving and driven axles by the use of universal joint (U-joint), CV joints or flex joints.
