2008 Proton Satria Buyers Get a Fuel Bonus for Free
13/05/2008 -- Car buyers seeking an economical and well priced car in the current climate of rising fuel costs will receive an added bonus if they buy a 2008 Proton Satria Neo during May with $1200 worth of fuel thrown in at no extra cost.

Already a frugal yet sporty three door hatch buyers will have the equivalent of 55 percent of their average annual fuel costs covered during the first year with twelve Caltex $100 fuel cards included with every Satria Neo sold during May.
Proton buyers will receive a $1200 fuel bonus when they purchase a Satria Neo during the month of May.
Satria Neo's Campro 1.6 litre twin cam 16-valve engine is capable of average fuel consumption of 7.2 litres per 100km on the combined cycle and based on an average annual usage of 20,000 km with fuel cost of $1.50 per litre a motorist would spend around $2100 per annum on petrol.
The special Proton Satria Neo fuel offer will cut that annual fuel bill by more than half in the first year of ownership giving owners extra money to cope with rising costs such as increased mortgage payments.
According to Proton Cars Australia managing director John Startari, the Satria Neo fuel bonus is a major boost for cash strapped motorists already suffering under the weight of fuel prices breaking through the $1.50 per litre barrier.
Already a frugal 3 door hatch, the Satria neo will give buyers even more reason to smile at the fuel pump this month.
"Our research has shown buyers are increasingly looking for cars that are more economical and fuel efficient and that a fuel offer such as the Satria Neo deal only adds to the attractiveness of the car and its economy credentials," said John Startari.
"With Satria priced from just $16,990 plus on road costs it is already arguably the best priced three door sports hatch on the Australian market and the fuel bonus makes it an even better deal," he added.
Satria Neo is powered by the latest version of Proton's own CamPro 1.6 litre twin-cam multivalve engine with a five-speed manual transmission or an optional four-speed automatic transmission.
The free revving 1.6litre engine delivers 82kW of power and 148Nm of torque and uses the latest Step4 engine management profile which when coupled with a kerb weight of 1159kgs, provides strong performance.
With a true sporting character the Satria Neo carries a strong Lotus DNA and is very clearly linked to the famous sports car maker, whose very ethos is performance through lightweight.
Satria Neo uses MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension with stabiliser bars front and rear along with four wheel disc brakes and rack and pinion steering to ensure a total dynamic handling package.
Lotus styling shows through in the interior of the Satria Neo with its sporty instrument binnacle, steering wheel and body hugging bucket seats.
Satria Neo is available in two grades the entry level GX and the high spec GXR.
Both the GX and GXR feature high levels of standard equipment including air-conditioning, ABS anti-lock brakes, SRS dual front airbags and seat belt pre-tensioners, power steering, power windows, power mirrors, central locking with integrated remote keyless entry, alarm and immobiliser.
The Satria Neo GXR features 16" alloy wheels with Continental Conti Sport Contact 2 low-profile tyres, climate control air-conditioning and front fog lights as standard.
