Bowling Green, KY, 4/28/2008 -- Hooker Headers is proud to announce the availability of their Street Force™ 50-state legal Header (E.O. # D-115-17) for the 2005-06 Mustang GT, P/N 6138HKR.

Hooker's 2005–06 Mustang 50 State Legal Shorty Headers

The 6138HKR header is constructed from 16 gauge mild steel tubing for durability and strength. The 1-5/8” mandrel bent tuned length primary tubes decrease back pressure, improve throttle response and increase the exhaust velocity for more mid-range horsepower and low-end torque. Thick 3/8” machined flanges result in a perfect leak free seal against the cylinder heads and a 3” 3-bolt O.E. style collectors ensure a leak free bolt-in installation with the factory exhaust. All necessary hardware and instructions are included to ensure the installation goes smoothly.

Hooker’s 6138HKR header comes finished with a baked on high heat resistant black paint or for a show look Hooker also offer’s the 6138HKR header with a Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating, P/N 6138-1HKR. This coating provides improved thermal stability reducing the possibility of header cracking. The high luster finish is rust resistant and acts as an insulator resulting in higher exhaust temperatures within the system to increase performance while lowering the under-hood temperatures.
