2007 Mini Cooper S Owners Add Performance with K&N Air Intake System
April 14, 2008 -- The 2007 Mini Cooper S with aluminum 1.6 liter engine was designed to replace the four-cylinder engine built with an iron block. The new Mini Cooper is turbocharged instead of supercharged. K&N Engineering has designed a performance intake system (57A-6037) for the 2007 Mini Cooper S with a 1.6 liter engine. It is a custom design that uses K&N’s Apollo air protective filter enclosure and a washable reusable K&N air filter.
K&N Intake for 2007 MINI Cooper S
The K&N air intake system comes with adaptors to fit the Mini Cooper S. It is designed to eliminate hot air problems by reducing heat build up and feeding cooler outside air into the engine. The Apollo provides the benefits of an open cone filter and a standard air box in one unit.
The removable cold air feed attachment allows outside air to be fed into the unit. Zip ties are provided to secure the cold air hose. The original Mini Cooper S air box restricts air flow into the engine. The 57A-6037 is designed to free your vehicle from much of this restriction while providing a power gain with excellent filtration.
Instructions are included in four different languages. The K&N performance intake kit is easy to assemble, usually in 90 minutes or less and comes with the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
