Nissan Unveils Qashqai, Terranaut, Infiniti M35 at 5th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition
TOKYO (November 19, 2007) - Nissan (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (NCIC) and Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL) will present an appealing Nissan and Infiniti vehicle line-up at the 5th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition, November 20 to 26.
Nissan
The highlight of the Nissan exhibit will be the new Qashqai crossover. The design and product development of Qashqai was led by Nissan Design Europe and the Nissan Technical Center in Europe, working with Nissan engineering in Japan. Qashqai is a crossover vehicle that marries the attributes of a C-hatchback to those of a 4x4 to deliver outstanding driving performance and the functionality of an SUV. Qashqai will be locally manufactured in China joining the UK and Japan which are also production sources for this globally successful model.
Another star of the show is the Terranaut, an innovative SUV-based concept imagined as a mobile working environment for archaeologists, geologists, scientists and other adventurers who work in challenging environments. The sense of future is heightened by details such as a single revolving seat with an integrated computer keyboard situated beneath the glass roof dome that gives the scientist complete 360-degree access to the various workstations found in Terranaut.
Also on display for Nissan will be the latest generation Tiida sedan and hatchback, and the Livina, Geniss, Teana and Sylphy, which will round out the wide range of products from the company.
Infiniti
The luxury brand Infiniti will display three models, with a focus on the M35. The premium luxury sedan is the third Infiniti model to come to market in China since the brand was introduced in November2006. A clear expression of elegant design, progressive technology and invigorating power, the M35 further defines the heart and soul of the Infiniti brand.
The Infiniti G35 sedan and the Infiniti FX premium SUV also are on display at this year's show.
