2008 Jeep Liberty
NEW YORK, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2008 Jeep Liberty, which debuted for the first time at the New York Auto Show, has an all new, class-exclusive Sky Slider Roof that opens to reveal the first and second row -- or just one row individually for an "Only Jeep" open-air experience.
The vehicle will offer a choice of two different 4x4 systems to meet the customer's driving needs:
Selec-Trac III Four-Wheel Drive System -- This full-time, four-wheel drive offers customers the benefit of a two-speed active transfer case and brake traction controls system. It also instantly anticipates wheel slip and redirects torque accordingly, and is ideal for off-roading or driving in inclement weather.
Command-Trac Four-Wheel Drive System -- This part-time, shift-on-the-fly system provides the peace of mind of available four-wheel drive capability for use on slippery or loose surfaces, like snow, mud or sand.
The touch-screen navigation system has a 20 gigabyte hard drive with the capability to store more than 1,000 songs and photos. It also features improved on-road ride, handling, performance and fuel economy. The new exterior styling and functional interior space was designed to attract new customers.
