Honda Motor Co. Provides Aid to Victims of Sichuan Earthquake
May 15, 2008 – Honda Motor Co., Ltd. would like to express its deepest sympathy and condolences to the victims of the recent earthquake epicentered in the Sichuan province of China. In response to this tragedy, the Honda group companies will provide approximately JPY 115 million toward the relief and recovery effort.
Details of Honda’s donations:
· Honda group companies in China, including Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., will contribute approximately CNY 4 million (approximately JPY 60 million), comprising cash donations, two CR-V sport utility vehicles and 30 electrical generators, to organizations including the Red Cross Society of China and the Red Cross Society of Sichuan province.
· Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will contribute JPY 55 million through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
