GM Honors Höegh Autoliners as Corporation of the Year

Detroit, 2008-04-28 -- On Saturday, April 26, General Motors Corporation honored Höegh Autoliners with its prestigious Corporation of the Year award. The award was presented during GM's 16th annual Supplier of the Year ceremony in Jacksonville, Fla.

Höegh has been a GM Supplier of the Year winner five times since the program began in 1992. It is an international logistics company with an annual transportation volume of close to 1.9 million car equivalent units

"Höegh is a great example of what it takes to become a GM Corporation of the Year," said Bo Andersson, GM group vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "As our largest carrier, Höegh has provided excellent service including repositioning ships and prioritizing our freight, while helping us to drive out cost.

The GM Supplier of the Year award began in 1992. Each year, a global team of purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and logistics executives determines the winners. Decisions are based on supplier performance in the areas of quality, service, technology and price.
