General Motors, Insignia Group Sign Licensing Agreement

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Insignia Group, LLC, the nation's leading provider of direct-to-dealer online accessory catalogs, announces a new licensing agreement with General Motors Corp. (NYSE:GM) . The ten-year agreement covers Insignia's usage of GM's accessory product data and GM trademarks in Insignia's OE accessory e-catalogs, which are currently subscribed to by most GM Authorized Accessories Distributors/Installers (ADIs) and 800+ GM Dealers nationwide.

While the agreement in no way constitutes GM's endorsement of Insignia products, it does reflect the current industry-wide emphasis on Accessory Sales and Fixed Operations profits. This licensing agreement enables Insignia to receive accessory product data directly from GM and use all GM logos, images, trade references, trademarks, etc., in support of GM ADI and Dealership OE Accessory Catalogs.

Insignia e-catalogs support in-dealership accessory sales with accurate, up-to-date product, installation and availability information. Insignia software applies individual dealer business rules to accessory pricing, ensuring consistent pricing through all departments of the dealership. Dynamic next-generation vehicle-configurators allow customers to see the dealership accessories on their selected vehicle, in full-color and often with 360-degree rotation.
