Ford Links Pop Phenom Chris Brown with Sync

NEW YORK, Nov.13 – Ford Motor Company has linked Jive recording Pop Phenom Chris Brown with Sync; Ford's industry-exclusive, voice-activated hands free in-car communications and entertainment system.

Highlights:
* Ford presents the Up Close & Personal Holiday Exclusive Tour Powered by Sync In Association with BET Networks
* Ford Sync, powered by Microsoft Auto software, is Ford’s industry-exclusive, voice-activated hands-free in-car communications and entertainment system. This available system fully integrates mobile phones and digital media players into the vehicle
* Users can access their mobile phone or digital music player-including genre, album, artist and song title-via voice commands
* Names and numbers in a mobile phone's address book are wirelessly and automatically transferred to the vehicle

The partnership, which includes Ford's sponsorship of the Up Close & Personal Holiday Exclusive Tour, is a chance for Ford to take its latest technology on the road and ultimately integrate some of the key features of the technology into the tour. Radio and Television advertisements featuring Chris Brown will also play a role in the promotion of the relationship.

Ford's national promotion of the tour centers heavily on Sync and will include an official website, www.syncwithchrisbrown.com as well as full integration of the technology into each tour stop. There will also be a national sweepstakes where one lucky fan can win an all-new fully loaded 2008 Ford Focus, customized by Hip Hop Guru of car customization Funkmaster Flex.

The 24-city tour, which kicks off in Cincinnati in December and runs through January, will be promoted heavily on www.syncwithchrisbrown.com and will also include partnerships with local radio stations. "This integration is more than just signs and banners," said Greene. "This is about linking up with a talent who understands technology and can help Ford deliver the message on its exclusive Sync system."

* Voice-activated music: Browse the music collection on your digital media player, mobile phone or USB drive by genre, album, artist and song title using simple voice commands, such as “Play genre Rock,” “Play ,” or “Play Track .”
* Instant voice recognition: SYNC’s advanced voice recognition technology means when you’re ready to use your phone or digital music player, just speak simple voice commands.
* Ring tone support: For supported phones, SYNC will play personal ring tones. If you’ve configured unique ring tones to identify specific callers, SYNC will automatically play those, too.
* Automatic phonebook transfer: SYNC will automatically and wirelessly transfer all the names and numbers in a mobile phonebook.
