SUMMARY:
MODEL Teams of Ford volunteers are fanning out across Metro Detroit to plant gardens, beautify landscapes and help wildlife during the company’s second Accelerated Action Day.
The Ford Volunteer Corps developed this concentrated, high-powered approach to meet the needs of nonprofit agencies that select projects most in need of our help. Ford also provides grants to each organization to buy tools and materials for volunteers to get the job done.
During our first Accelerated Action Day in March, 20 MODEL Teams of volunteers donated their time and energy at 14 locations, reaching close to 100,000 children and families served by these nonprofit agencies.
This second Accelerated Action Day builds on the first, with hundreds more volunteers and dozens more MODEL Teams tackling local community projects.
