WILMINGTON , Del., May 11, 2006 – A total of 64 people attended Ford Motor Company's [NYSE: F] 51st Annual Meeting of Shareholders today at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington, Delaware.Preliminary voting results indicate that a total of 1,533,109,411 shares of common stock and 70,800,728 shares of Class B stock were represented at the annual meeting in person or by proxy. These shares represent 91.15 percent of the votes that could be cast.
Each director received at least 2,361,412,247 votes, or 86.49 percent of the votes cast at the meeting (Proposal 1 in the proxy statement).
Votes on other Proposals:
Proposal 2. Relating to the ratification of the selection of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as Ford's independent registered public accounting firm for 2006.
For: 98.3 percent
Against: 1.07 percent
Abstain: 0.68 percent
Proposal 3 . Relating to disclosure of certain compensation paid to executive officers.
For: 9.47 percent
Against: 90.53 percent
Abstain: 1.03 percent
Proposal 4. Relating to the Company reporting on its lobbying efforts relative to government regulation of fuel economy standards.
For: 7.11 percent
Against: 92.89 percent
Abstain: 4.10 percent
Proposal 5. Relating to adoption of cumulative voting for the election of directors.
For: 13.85 percent
Against: 86.15 percent
Abstain: 1.58 percent
Proposal 6. Relating to the Board of Directors reviewing tying executive compensation to reducing lifetime product greenhouse gas emissions and issuing a report of such review within six months of the annual meeting.

Proposal 7. Relating to consideration of a recapitalization plan to provide that all of the Company's outstanding stock have one vote per share.
