TORRANCE, CA, March 2008 - Engineered for serious players in the world of Ford drag racing, Edelbrock's SC-1 Pro-Port Raw cylinder head, #770769, offers the highest quality casting available for boosted and nitrous assisted racing applications.

Edelbrock SC-1 Pro-Port Raw Cylinder Head

Starting with the "Pro-Port Raw" design, the Edelbrock SC-1 is semi-finished with undersized ports and un-machined combustion chambers. The canted valve design yields an intake valve angle of 7.3° and an exhaust valve angle of 6.9°. A revised spark plug location and angle improves combustion efficiency. The intake flange is extended for use with Edelbrock's Super Victor #2865 on 9.2" decks and choice of 9.5" deck Super Victor intakes; 4150 series #2860 or 4500-series #2868. A raised port exhaust improves exhaust flow and will accommodate a standard Yates style header. The valve cover rail has been shifted to allow for longer rocker arms and Edelbrock valve covers #4267 are also available.

The coup de grace to the competition is the Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) process that the Edelbrock SC-1 goes through to ensure the finest and most durable casting quality possible. HIP processing is a forming process that combines heat and pressure to consolidate the metal and press out any gaseous material. The end result is a rock-solid casting, comparable to billet material.
