Delphi Enables Repairers to Choose Diagnostic Tool That Best Fits Their Needs

Delphi Launches Three New Diagnostic Solutions at Equip'Auto : Intuitive, User-friendly; High Mobility Thanks to Bluetooth Technology; Covering More Than 27000 Applications; Latest OE data; Easy to Update and Upgrade

Release date: October 15, 2007, FRANKFURT, GERMANY -- To provide its aftermarket customers with a more flexible and comprehensive range of vehicle diagnostic solutions, Delphi is launching three new tools at Equip Auto. The new solutions are designed to give users a wider choice of diagnostic tools which are more closely matched with their unique business needs. Vehicle data for the systems includes more than 27,000 applications.

"It is essential that we continue to provide our aftermarket customers with a choice of solutions that can integrate perfectly with their business and give them the exact level of capability they require," explains Kevin Kelly, diagnostic and service solutions business line manager for Delphi Product & Service Solutions in Europe. "We have worked closely with our customers in the design of these tools to ensure that we continue to offer excellent technical capability and comprehensive vehicle coverage. The new, increased level of choice means customers can select a solution that matches their precise needs, even more closely."

Delphi's new DS150E

The first of Delphi's new products, the DS150E, is aimed at garages that already have their own PC and require an entry-level, yet highly capable all-makes diagnostic tool, without the additional expense of another PC. The package includes a mini vehicle communication interface (VCI) which is connected to the car, an auto-install CD-Rom and a Bluetooth dongle meaning that its extensive diagnostic capability can be accessed through the user's existing PC. Users have access to a complete Delphi serial diagnostic database.

Delphi's new DS350E

The DS350E offers customers access to a powerful and flexible diagnostic solution, at a more affordable price. The package includes a mini-VCI which is connected to the car and a Bluetooth enabled widescreen tablet PC. The larger display area of the tablet PC facilitates in depth diagnostics such as live data analysis. Optional upgrades include additional technical data, high speed oscilloscope and service bay quality control, making it an extremely powerful and versatile tool.

Delphi's new DS550E

The DS550E is a stand alone PC diagnostic solution which includes a combined interface that features serial diagnosis and physical measurements thanks to its inbuilt multimeter and oscilloscope . The package features a combined VCI, an auto-install CD-Rom and a Bluetooth dongle that enable to solution to be installed on an existing workshop PC.

All of Delphi's new diagnostic solutions are covered by one of the company's comprehensive training programmes, ensuring users can fully utilise the powerful systems. Delphi is providing high quality and up-to-date training material, organized train-the-trainer programmes in local languages. Delphi also provides flexible delivery with distance learning, virtual classrooms, remote assistance and diagnostic assistance.
