Citroën Partners the Launch of the French Version of Intersection
2/7/2008 -- Citroën partners the launch of the French version of Intersection, a hip US magazine dedicated to automotive fashion.
The French version of Intersection runs several articles from the US version, but unlike the original it covers all kinds of mobility topics providing they focus on style and design.
The “Starter” section of the magazine discusses the future of mobility, looking at boats, motorbikes, planes and helicopters, among others. The “Drivers” pages are dedicated to people connected to mobility, those that create it and those that live it and show it. The first issue focuses on the relationship that Karl Lagerfeld, Daft Punk, Adrien Brody and Hedi Slimane have with the automobile. The technical section, “Garage”, includes off-beat road tests, portraits of collectors and original small ads, while “Tenue de Route” (“Road Wear”) features a Citroën-Intersection photo series of the visionary stylist, Ora-Ito, and the new star of French cinema, Vahina Giocante, driving the Citroën C5 Airscape concept car.
To express its passion for automotive beauty, Intersection has also equipped itself with an “office on wheels”, completely customising a Citroën C6 and inviting Lancel, Krug, Apple and Christofle on board to take part in the creation of this unique, interactive concept.
Intersection also celebrated the release of its first French issue at Citroën’s C42 showcase on the Champs-Elysées. The editorial staff of the magazine were impressed by the bold architecture of C42 and wanted the launch to be connected with this singular venue. The 400 guests got to see the avant-première of the film on the photo shoot with Vahina Giocante and Ora-Ito at the wheel of the Citroën C5 Airscape.
Intersection is printed quarterly in 90,000 copies and distributed in 11 French-speaking countries.
