Chrysler Employees Receive Industry Recognition
Auburn Hills, Mich., Nov 5, 2007 - Several Chrysler employees were recently recognized for career accomplishments in their chosen fields and community-related activities.
Chaelynne Pope, Senior Manager – Manufacturing Planning and Program Management and Jeff Gale, Design Manager – Advanced Product Design Strategy, were recognized by the Automotive Hall of Fame as 2007 Young Leadership and Excellence Award winners. The award identifies men and women, under age 35 who have exhibited qualities of leadership that the Automotive Hall of Fame feels will represent the industry in its next generation of leadership.
Both Chaelynne and Jeff received their awards at the annual Automotive Hall of Fame banquet on October 16 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dearborn.
Mary C. Clor, Manager – Product Development Process Quality was selected as one of only five recipients of the Distinguished New Engineer Award from the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). The award recognizes Clor’s “demonstrated outstanding technical performance in the first 10 years” of her engineering career, while being a supporter of the SWE organization.
Winners were announced at the SWE annual conference awards banquet in Nashville, Tenn., on October 26.
Timothy A. Puente, Product Integration Manager– Body on Frame Chassis Engineering was recognized as a Luminary by the HENAAC organization, formerly the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Conference, for his career achievements and significant contributions to the Hispanic technical community through his work as an engineer at Jeep/Truck Engineering..
Each year, HENAAC identifies Hispanic Americans who are excelling in technical careers as engineers, scientists, and technology experts. The organization hopes to inspire the next generation of Hispanic students to pursue technical careers while continuing to connect with the Hispanic community.
Joe Nguyen, Process Senior Manager – Activity Vehicle Product Team, was recognized at the 2007 National Asian Pacific American Corporate Achievement Awards event in Las Vegas. The Corporate Achievement Award recognizes Asian Pacific Americans in the corporate sector who exemplify excellence, leadership and commitment in their profession, but also in the community. Recognized winners also have demonstrated a commitment to diversity initiatives within their own corporate cultures.
Joe received his award in Las Vegas on October 19.
