December 2007 -- Bosch subsidiary Blaupunkt once again provides for easier service and now offers car dealers, repair shops and vehicle owners the opportunity of having defective Blaupunkt-brand car radios and navigation systems that were installed by the automotive manufacturers as original equipment repaired directly by the device manufacturer.

Highlights:
· Repair directly at the manufacturer's
· Repair portal and pick-up service
· Repairs guaranteed within 48 hours
· Direct processing reduces costs
· New business opportunities for car dealers and repair shops

Up to now, the vehicle owners always received an exchange device from the vehicle manufacturer. With this new repair service, all car dealers and repair shops – including those that work independently of any specific manufacturer – are now able to offer the repair of defective Blaupunkt devices. In addition, the Customer Service of the Hildesheim-based company is now getting ready to repair the equipment of other manufacturers of electronic components as well.

Orders are registered online
Processing the repair orders couldn’t be easier: they can be placed by the car dealers or repair shops by telephone, by fax or immediately online on the Repair Portal www.infotip-rts.de. Consumers can also order a repair directly on the Blaupunkt website www.blaupunkt.de. A pick-up and delivery service takes care of the transport of the device from and to the customer. Once the device to be repaired has been received by the repair shop, Blaupunkt guarantees that the repair will be completed within 48 hours and the device returned to the pick-up service. This means that the repair is usually completed within a maximum of five workdays – a quick, uncomplicated, reliable service that is also cost-optimized.
