Senior Management Changes for Nissan in China

TOKYO, March 12, 2008 – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced a change to the leadership of its joint venture Chinese business. Kimiyasu Nakamura is appointed President, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. replacing Katsumi Nakamura who will take a new executive position at Alliance partner, Renault. These changes will be effective April 1st 2008 and subject to the approval of the board of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd.

Commenting on the changes, Colin Dodge, Senior Vice President, Global Overseas Markets (GOM), Nissan Motor Company and Chairman of the Management Committee-GOM said: “From virtually nothing just five years ago, we now have a thriving business in China that will deliver 500,000 sales in 2008 and is a major part of our global growth strategy. I would like to thank Katsumi Nakamura for his leadership in China and for creating a strong and mutually successful partnership with Dongfeng Motor Group.”

Kimiyasu Nakamura is currently Senior Vice President with responsibility for Nissan PV Product Development Division No. 1 and Light Commercial Vehicle Product Development Division. Nakamura joined Nissan in 1980 in the product development function. In 2003, at the same time as the creation of Nissan’s new joint venture operation in China, Nakamura was appointed a board member of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. He will be based at Dongfeng Motor’s headquarters in Wuhan, China.
