Diverse Program at Formula BMW World Final 2007
Munich, 7th November 2007 -- When 35 drivers from around the world gather at the “Circuit de la Comunitat” in Valencia (ESP) for the Formula BMW World Final, hoping to be crowned champion and win a unique chance to take a Formula 1 test drive, it is not only the Spanish motorsport fans trackside who will be able to enjoy the show.
Alongside BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen, a multitude of stars from motorsport’s elite class will also be present as the spectacular highlight of the Formula BMW season is staged for the third time. BMW Sauber F1 Team driver Nick Heidfeld (GER) will be in Valencia, together with GP2 champion Timo Glock (GER) and Formula 1 driver Sebastian Vettel (GER), both former Formula BMW champions themselves.
On Thursday, Christian Vietoris (GER) will be temporarily promoted to the F1 squad for a day: as reward for victory in the 2006 Formula BMW World Final in Valencia, the 18-year-old now has the opportunity to test a BMW Sauber F1 Team car. From Friday, the competitors in this year’s World Final will take centre stage, as they aim to follow in Vietoris’ footsteps. Demonstrations in impressive BMW racing cars from throughout BMW’s successful motor racing history complete the exciting programme in Valencia.
