Blaupunkt TravelPilot 100: Pure Navigation with Quick, Reliable Route Finder
March 12, 2008 -- Navigation pure, that's what the new portable TravelPilot 100 navigation system made by Bosch subsidiary Blaupunkt has to offer. It delivers easy, intuitive operation, high-speed route calculation and reliable route guidance using visual and acoustic turning recommendations.
Highlights:
· High-speed route calculation
· Easy operation and reliable route guidance
· Routes can be individually optimized
Stress-free operation
The TravelPilot 100 menu-prompting system is logical right from the start. The currently relevant control buttons show up as touch-sensitive keys on the user interface, a highly luminous 3.5-inch color display, to provide for good orientation and easy operation. Once the destination has been entered and the route calculated with high-speed precision, the map and route recommendations appear in practical 2D or 3D views.
The navigation data for the region selected, e.g. for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, is already loaded and stored in the TravelPilot 100 on delivery. In addition, the PC program included with the package makes it possible to download and manage so-called Points of Interest (POI) from a number of different Internet sites or to create individual POIs, store them on an SD card and use them for destination selection. The device's battery can also be easily replaced by the user at any time – and that saves time and money.
The TravelPilot assists the driver
The TravelPilot 100 also provides the user with driver assistance. A light sensor, for example, enables the display to switch automatically from day to night, as the situation calls for. The device also features error-tolerant destination input for city names and optimized route options – to configure an individually optimal route, for example. And what's more – there are visual and acoustic warnings to alert the driver should the legal speed limits be exceeded.
With its solid range of features and a very attractive price, the new Portable Navigation Device (PND) from Blaupunkt, the TravelPilot 100, more than satisfies all the major demands made on a modern navigation system in the basic category. The perfect choice for all those users who are looking for an easy-to-operate, reliable route guidance system and quite simply want stress-free navigation – that's it: navigation pure.
