First Bentley Showroom Opens on the Banks of the Neva River

Berlin / St. Petersburg, 24 April 2008 -- Bentley Motors is further expanding its dealer network in the growing Russian market and today opens a new showroom in St. Petersburg. The official press conference, marking the opening of the new dealership to customers, was hosted by Michael Mayer, Regional Director Europe.

The St. Petersburg launch marks the third showroom of the legendary British automobile manufacturer in Russia. It joins the two existing showrooms in Moscow, at Tretyakovsky proezd near the Red Square and in Barvikha Luxury Village. The new Bentley showcase is located in an emerging business area, at the crossing of Gelsingforsskaya Street and Vyborgskaya embankment. This particular area of St. Petersburg is one of the fastest growing for luxury goods and looks set to repeat the success of the Moscow Barvikha Luxury Village.

Bentley customers will now be able to enjoy the whole spectrum of exclusive sales and aftersales services directly in St. Petersburg. The new Bentley showroom features a warehouse for spare parts, a service center and a workshop for body repair and refinishing. The service center is equipped with the latest Bentley computer information and diagnostic systems.

The new and spacious showroom will offer customers a first hand experience of the entire Bentley model range: this includes the Arnage range, consisting of the Arnage T, R, RL, Azure and Brooklands coupe, and the full Continental range, featuring the Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur limousine.

“With the opening of Bentley St. Petersburg we are continuing our successful growth in Russia, which has become our second largest market in Continental Europe after Germany,” commented Michael Mayer, Regional Director Europe, at the press conference. “With Mercury Group we have found the ideal partner and are now able to offer our many existing and potential customers in St. Petersburg the level of sales and aftersales service they expect from us.” During the press conference Michael Mayer also announced the opening of a new Bentley service point in Krasnodar at the end of the second quarter of the year, underlining the company’s commitment to the Russian market.

Bentley Motors is one of the first luxury brands to open a showroom in the northern capital of Russia. The power, performance, unique design and traditional craftsmanship of the Bentley brand are reflected in the architecture and dynamic growth of St. Petersburg. Both the legendary British brand and St. Petersburg have a rich history which has not been lost with time. On the contrary, each has become more and more unique and desirable, and there is no doubt that Bentleys will feel at home on the streets of the northern capital of Russia. 2007 has been a very successful year for Bentley in Russia with more than 200 cars sold and the company’s plans for 2008 are equally ambitious. With a new dealership in St. Petersburg, sales for Russia are expected to grow still further.
